Lincoln Southwest's theater and music programs have won numerous awards since the school opened in the Fall of 2001. LSW theater took second place in state in the 2004-05 school year for the one-act production, "A Piece of My Heart". In 2006, Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawk Theater was the first school in the state to receive the "Outstanding School Award" from the Educational Theater Association.
